Qualification : Candidates should have Master Degree (Ag) in Soil science/ Agricultural Microbiology; or M.Sc in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Science or equivalent, Ph.D or M.Tech. in Soil and Water Conservation Engg, Irrigation and Drainage Engg or Water Resource Engg or equivalent or Biotechnological Engg for post-1, M.Tech. in Soil and Water Conservation Engg/ Water Resource Development and Management/ M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics/ Environmental Sciences with 4-5 years of bachelor’s degree for post-2, M. Sc (Ag) with specialization in Agronomy or Soil Science or Horticulture having 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor degree in Agriculture for post-3. Candidates having PG degree in basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor degree and 2 years of Master degree should have NET qualification.

The ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management (formerly Directorate of Water Management) was established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research on 12 May 1988. The Institute aims to develop improved water management technologies for sustainable agricultural production and disseminate it amongst researchers, government functionaries, NGOs and farmers. The Centre is located at Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar on a 5.71 ha of land along with its main office-cum-laboratory building, guest house and residential complex. Research farm of the Institute (63.71 ha of farm land) is located at Deras, Mendhasal which is at 30 km away from main campus.View Site >>
